Hot off the presses! Just got a copy of the Mia Sparrow 7″ Death of a Decibel
I put together the layout for the printers last week and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The glossy finish on it look great.

New Website for Mia Sparrow

Filed under: Recent Work — admin @ 10:05 am

I’ve just finished a new redesign of the Mia Sparrow website. The relaunch is to coincide with the release of a 7″ single and so I used the artwork for the single as a reference point for the new design.

The new site includes a cool with image gallery plugin called Galleria.

Fresh Content Is Important!

Filed under: Webspread Design Blog — admin @ 11:32 am

Search Engines love fresh content! And so do website users.
No matter what your website is for, you should always consider having a “news” page where you can include regular fresh updates, be it about events, promotions or new products or services.

Another good way to include fresh content is to have a blog. Keep it interesting and you’ll soon attract new readers and thus more people to your site.

If the search engine spiders know that you regularly update your site, they’ll call round more often to see what’s happening. This in turn can have a positive effect on your Search Engine Rating!

Contact us today to learn more about how you can apply this and other SEO practices to your website.

CMS on a budget

Filed under: Webspread Design Blog — admin @ 2:50 pm

We often get asked to design a small site but the client wants to be able to login and maintain it them selves.

This can seem daunting for client! There’s a smell of expense off the idea! But thanks to the wonders of wordpress, CMS (content management systems) are possible on a budget.

“But isn’t Wordpress for blog websites? I don’t want a blog!”…not always, is the answer. Wordpress sites don’t even have to include a blog.

So what do you get when you
have a site built on wordpress?
1. login panel that is secure
2. ability to easily update selected pages on your website
3. ability to upload new photos onto your site

Our sites built on Wordpress can still have a unique look and feel, we won’t just use an off the shelf template.

We’ll even give you a FREE lesson on how to maintain your website! All you have to do is ask : )

Give Flowers on Facebook

Filed under: We Like It, weird and wonderful — admin @ 3:36 pm

Heard a very interesting feature on RTE Radio One the other day. Facebook are hoping to expand into the “real world”. At the moment, we often get virtual gifts on Facebook from our friends. Maybe you’ve gotten a hug or a cake or a bunch of flowers (or in one weird case a “balcony full of washing”…).
